So I'm thinking that this will be the new way to do the whole thing. We will still do plenty of e-mail stuff for secret stuff and so forth. But this way we don't fill up our inbox with stuff that will most likely get deleted. Check out the other thread in the meta-gaming forum for group discussion perposes. This will be for XP. That way it's easier to keep track of.

Ok so what happened last time?
Gaming 6/14/04
We had left off with everyone just standing around waiting for someone to attack. More elven guards showed up and Kendryl explained to Prince Igor that his human friends were trying to stop the red rogues from disrupting the trial. The bodies of the red rogues were searched by Seraphim and he determined that they couldn't have gotten to the elven capitol on foot.

Then Dmitri walked in and was Questioned by Igor. Dmitri, being a good cleric, gave him the whole story. Igor couldn't believe his ears when he heard about Tiemefus. Queen Senta was of coarse not going to listen to any accusations against Tiemefus, as she was still under his spell. But she was off with Alcarin and Evard who were trying to disspell the charm.

She was summoned back to the Council of Truth hall to prove to Igor that his servant has been up to no good. Then Evard and Alcarin came up with a plan. They would cast some kind of alteration or disguise spell on Doveriye to make her look like Tiemefus and attack the Queen. At first it was hard to convince her to go along with this. But eventually they made an elaborate plan to do this as best they could.

They did a good job setting it up and Doveriye took some convincing swings at royalty. It worked! The spell was broken and the party shared a heart felt moment with Senta and Igor. Igor gave up his position as Prince and everyone got magic items. Everyone but Ma'tok, that is. So where was Ma'tok? He was taken away by the high-wizards to see Cialis the amethyst dragon. There he was given his pick of psionic items.

The group spent the next two weeks making items and potions and helping out with the rebuilding of the church of Larethian that Tiemefus had burned down. Ma'tok participating in another bafflingly good deed did a lot of the hands on rebuilding. Doveriye got drunk (again) in an effort to get more help from volunteers.

During this a devil was summoned from out of no where and attacked the group. This thing was bad ass! Ma'tok and Kendryl dealt the most damage. Doveriye and Big Al actually got hit and absorbed a good deal of HP reduction, but offered good support. Fortunately no one died (damn it) and the creature was slain and returned to one of the outer hell planes. Good thing you guys got some magic weapons recently or it may have turned out differently.

There were some individual wrapping up of events by some of the characters, but all in all, that was it for gaming last time.

Now lets do some XP.
* For the fight..................... 960xp
* For role playing................ 300xp
* For exposing Tiemefus...... 300xp
* Bonus to give out.............. 550xp

So that about does it for the first of our posts on our new gaming forum. Was it good for you?

Anyway, I may not be able to game this weekend as I will either be very busy, or getting busy. Hopefully the latter of the two. If that doesn't end up happening, I might be capable of getting to gaming if you're doing Davids campaign. Either way let me know what's up.
See you's next time.

All the cards are on the table now.

The whole damn party got outed. You also got a bit further than I was expecting so soon. Way to go! Now the story is really moving and the party is getting closer to their goals. Yes this does mean XP hook ups. Hey you're gonna need it to take on some of the challenges at hand.

Now let's take care of the details.
Gaming 6/27/04
You all started out in one elven city and wound up in another one. The high wizards of Larethian city were kind enough to treat their hero's to a teleport spell. You were all whisked away to Neron city in Vell-os. But it did not look like a city when you arrived. It was a forest with no signs of habitation. Fortunately Alcarin is from Vell-os and knew that this forest was just an illusion.

He walked through an illusionary tree to reveal the great grey elf city. Then he took everyone to his house. On the way the party spotted grey elves riding the skies on air drakes. After getting situated at the house of Big Al, he and Seraphim went to see his brother. They asked him questions of the mysterious dragon graveyard. He gave you some clues as to where it may be, but nothing is certain.

Then Phim returned to the house and Al went to get some guards to escort some of the more chaotic group memebers in the city that is not use to seeing outsiders. For the majority of the party, Vell-os darts were issued. For Ma'tok they got Kail. We find out later that Kail is the mightiest Vell-os javlin who wields the fabled Thunderhead Lances.

The darts arrive at Alcarin's house not long after that. (for those just joining us, the grey elf air force makes distinctions between their various drake riders. Darts are smaller and throw darts. Vell-os arrows are slightly bigger and have bows. Vell-os javlins are impressivly formitable and have javlins.) Now the player had freedom to go around the city. Seraphim was the first to go exploring. He went for the magic item flee market. There the game was all about getting a bargain.

Doveriye went out next. Where did she go first? You guess it. A bar! Then to a church... if you can call it that. It was really just some guy's house that had an alter. The guy was very nice and let her pray there. She tried to show her dart escort how to pray, but the idea was somewhat lost on him. The grey elves aren't much for religeon it seems. So she headed back to casa Alcarin. On the way she couldn't help but notice the spectical in the sky. Some Vell-os arrows and darts in persuit of a red dragon. The dragon was doing well to keep the grey elves off his back. But then Kail showed up and you got to see the Thunderhead Lances in action. He was not riding a drake like the other Vell-os. He was on a young grey dragon. It was all pretty cool.

When Kail finnaly showed up at the house, he and Ma'tok hit it off like a couple of old buddies. They left for fun and adventure in the city. Ultimately they wound up at a library. Ma'tok was inquiring about his nemisis, Masal. The grey elves in the library introduced him to Dvorak who was actually a bronze dragon in the form of an elf. Ma'tok discovered that Dvorak is also Alcarin's boss. Oooh, juicy secrets comming out now.

Back at the house Al took Phim to see some of his druid pals. They had a good ol' time talking about trees and dirt and quests for green dragon spirits. The druid told Seraphim that no one knows what will happen when he brings the shard of the dragon eggshell into the dragon graveyard.

Alcarin decided to go to his office and do some research on just about everything. He found out a lot. Possible location and some info on the graveyard. Some things that seem to be modivating Masal. Basic history of the mountain that you all want to go to. He also met a mysterious character. This man says little yet reveals a lot. He also apologised in advance for something he has planned for the future. This was very unsettling.

We all reconviened at the house and it was decided that the group would be flown by the Vell-os air force through the Heraan lands to the coast and they would take a ship to the north island where the mountian awaits.

You set off and on the first day you made it safely to a clearing where you would camp for the night. Ma'tok and Alcarin almost came to blows because they're both to stubborn to admit that they really have no idea what they're talking about. Seraphim spent some time talking to Shostakovich who was shrunk down for the trip. Air drakes are cool, but they can't fly with a heavy horse strapped to them.

The next day more travelling occured. This time though, you saw much death and carnage down below. You went in for a closer look and discovered that the trail of destruction leads to a temple in a Heraan town. The Heraan samurai seem to have fought to the last man. Only one warrior survived. You found this warrior due mainly to Phim's expert tracking. He told you that it was the work of Masal that left his village with everyone dead. He too is cursed by Masal, just like Ma'tok and shostakovich are. You then went to the temple only to find that something was taken from there. A sacred bowl. The Heraan had some info about the bowl, but their culture is kinda ignorant about worldly matters.

The cursed warrior, who also happens to have a magical forge, was exited to hear that you plan on commiting seppuku- I mean taking on Masal. For this he helped Ma'tok forge a mighty katana to fight Masal with. When it was done it was very impressive and magical. Alcarin identified it as being a +3 Masal bane katana of dispution. The Heraan runes on the blade just spell the word "Requiem"

To activeate the sword Requiem, Ma'tok had to use it to help the crippled master end his life with a ritual. It was very honerable and bullshit, but now the sword should work against Masal...... in theory.

Then another family meeting was called, and the group bickered some more. Then everyone spilled their guts about all thier secrets. C'mon guys, leave some surprizes for later.
We found out that Ma'tok is really a Topaz dragon cursed to live in a human like body.
Alcarin was hiding the fact that he lives and works with dragons in Vell-os.
Doveriye seems to have some kind of ties to divine beings.

Wow! It's all very interesting. I like hearing some of the theories you guys have been comming up with about what's really going on. I think they are funny. Mainly because they are way off.... or are they?

Ok, let's take care of the XP!

As you may be aware this Sunday is the fourth of July. It's some kind of holoday that involves things that expode. So I will not be able to game at all. I think some of you mentioned possibly gaming on Wednesday? If that is the case we'll have to do Dave's run, because I don't get out of work till 6 or 7pm. That and I have a butt load of prep work to do before you get to the next part of my story. Let me know what's up for this week.

Later, slutbags!

What happened last time? No, seriously.... I can't remember. Oh well, I guess that means no XP.

I do remember a few things. Such as: Ron showing up late again. David leaving early again. Caleb reaching into Rons front pocket to give us those fart inducing brownies. And John with a lot of trash talking.

Ron gets a 5xp bonus for being the only one who stopped somewhere other than Carl's Junior before showing up.
Caleb gets 5 bonus xp for the brownies. I just can't stop eating them. Though I will be leaving my window open as long as they remain.

Ok, that's it. I'll see you guys next week.

Now for those of you following along at home....
Here's the real adventure.

Gaming 7/11/04.

We had left off last time with you guys leaving the destroyed Heraan village. Only one more day by air drake to get to the coast. You arrived at Port Suminagashi in the evening. The ships there were docked for the rest of the week due to the major holiday that was comming up. Dona eis sanctus majestatis (500 bonus experiance to who ever can give me a translation). Also known in some parts as Verdi day. It's my worlds equivelent of Christmas.

Seraphim went down to the docks right away to get the scoop. He met Captain Hector there. He was informed of Verdi day and how the ships will remain in port.

Alcarin looked up an old friend. Gengoro the shugenja. Gengoro was all for some spell trading, but wanted to get it done before Dona eis sanctus majestatis. The holiday celebrates what Verdi did 3,000 years ago when he established the church. In honor of him, no spells are cast for the whole day and no magic is used. Some have been known to use magic on this day. But for the most part, people are respectfull. Anyway, Alcarin ended up with some exotic oriental magic.

Doveriye wandered the streets looking for a church. On the way she saw a young kid casting spells in the street. Then the kid was repremanded by his mother. Doveriye started talking to them. The kid was very enthusiastic about his magical talents, but his mother was ashamed of it. The kid (Madrooga) and his mother left. Doveryie then found an Auroran church in town and met with the head priest, Galuf. Galuf told her about what the church was doing for Verdi day. He said it was going to be very special. She spent the rest of the week helping them out.

Kendryl scouted the town to see what he could steal if it came to that. He became very familliar with the area. Still feeling pangs of guilt about what he took from the elf queen, he elected to not gank anything unless it became neccissary. What a good thief.

Ma'tok drank with his buddy Kail for a day. Kail and his squadron of Vell-os darts took off the next day for their home. Ma'tok was heart broken. No more Kail. No more fun with the thunderhead lances. It was a very sad day for poor Ma'tok.

Skip ahead a bit to Dona eis sanctus majestatis. Alcarin was spending the day with Gengoro. Doveriye was in the church helping out and her little buddy, Madrooga was there with his family. Seraphim was in a bar getting hammered. Kendryl spent the day alone, walking the streets.

Big Al had an unusually quiet mind on the holiday. So quiet that he could almost hear spellcasting going on. It was strange. Doveriye on the other hand was having some bad feelings about this day. She was watching the Verdi day mass in the church when Galuf started to cast divine magic! How could he commit blasphemy? Her bad feelings got worse and she headed for the door with Madrooga.

Alcarin started to hear more magic as it turned from celebration magic to combat magic. He decided to go find Doveriye. They met in the street outside the church. Kendryl looked up and saw a dreadful sight. A storm of epic perportions came rolling in to utterly destroy everything magic. Then it headed off to the east.

With help from Kendryl's mirror stealing abilities, Alcarin contacted his brother via scrying. This is why it's so much fun to be the DM. I get to kill your favorite NPC's. It's so much better when I do it right in front of you too. You have no idea how gratifying it is. I love it.

Of course the other thing I love is Ma'toks ability to do aweful things in time of world crisis. L.A. riots have nothing on this guy. He ran into a burning building not to save childern or people in need. No, he saved a VCR and the family jewels. You're sure you ain't chaotic evil? Roll percentile.

So that kinda sucked for you guys and every one involved. You didn't really know what to do about Madrooga as his family was inside the church when it was hit by the flaming ball of light from the sky. So you took him with you to the docks to get the hell out of there on Captain Hectors ship. Kenny did end up ganking some stuff for the trip, and a little bit for his own pocket. He got supplies for the expedition to the northern tundra. Within hours they set sail.

The trip was uneventful for the most part. Then pirates were spotted. It was cool though. Hector played it cool and when the pirates boarded your ship, he gave them some goods that they would like. In turn they paid him for it and were on their way.

A slight miscalculation by the navigator lead you into the extremely rough waters of the Snowland Sea between Reykjavik Island and the Dragon Horn Cliffs of the Bloodstone Mountains. Roll a saving throw vs. crapping your pants. Ma'tok got sea sick. Kendryl and Doveriye helped out with the rigging. Hector did his best and was able to steer clear of the stormy waters to land you safely. You found yourselves in the woods of this cold island. You decided to take Madrooga with you because the salors life wasn't good enough for this orphan. He didn't like the cold and was homesick. Then Ma'tok and Doveriye were nice enough to drop the bomb about his entire family being killed in the church. You ultimatley dropped him off with a nice dwarven family in the next town.

There you got some horses too as well as more supplies in this town. Once you got past the forest you could see the majestic mountain that awaits you in the distance. The next town you came to was more of a trading post where you traded in your horses for some dogsleds. Much more helpful over the snow covered ground.

The next village you came to seemed empty of any living thing. The huts were bashed in and the inhabitants were all dead. On the north end of the village was a frozen lake with a small rope bridge over it. Seraphim was scouting a way around the lake when a frost giant popped out of the snow and threw a bolder at him. Some more frost giants popped up and the fight was on.

Seraphim and Alcarin did well with the fireballs and other fire magic. Ma'tok ran in and did some serious damage with his axe before getting wounded and taking a nap on the ice. Shostakovich made some attacks with his hooves and ended up going through the ice. Lucky thing he's an asperi from these lands or he would be fucked. Kendryl and Doveriye did the whole flanking and tumbling attacks while circling one of the frost giants. Dmitri ran in to help Shostakovich and did very well for himself. The frost giant over the bridge went through the ice a few times and ended up useing to his advantage. He came crashing out of the lake right behind Dmitri and grabbed your beloved NPC. Some quick thinking from Alcarin and Shostakovich finished off the two giants that were there before they could do more damage. The one that ran away got pretty far. The grey elf wizard once again with the quick thinking went after him alone. The fought one on one and the giant fell to the cunning PC.

Well done there. That's where we left off. Alcarin did see a whole tribe of frost giants in the distance. Good thing that one didin't make it back to warn them.

Let's take care of the experiance points now.

* For the fight............................................................ 1,543xp
* For roll playing and dealing with my curveballs............. 1,000xp
* Bonus to give out..................................................... 700xp

Ok now I am done. I'll see you all next sunday, right? Where are we gaming next week? Are we doing your adventure Dave? Anyway, let me know.

Excellent! I'm 8th level now .. I'll have to get a book to figure out which class level I take. There are no good prestige classes for Kendryl, so maybe I'll make one up or something .. or just keep advancing with alternating rogue/fighter levels.

Bonus XP:

Alcarin - 350 to the big A for finally getting to the point where he's a big scary spellcaster, and for losing your brother
Ma'tok - 100 for being asleep.
Seraphim - 125 because you had a cool necklace that made the icy giants say "ow!"
Doveriye - 125 because your AC is unholy. Or, wait .. is it holy? I can't remember anymore!
